League of Friends Heatherwood 2016 Xmas Cheer
An annual event for the league is to provide some Christmas cheer.
In 1965 the league of friends presented £50 to the hospital to be used for Christmas cheer.
Fifty one years later, the Christmas gift allocation is once again warmly received by staff, the league takes great pleasure in continuing this annual event.
This year three volunteers Pauline Richardson Peter and Dorothea Standley wandered the wards and corridors of Heatherwood distributing the Christmas fund envelopes to all the wards and departments.
Departments are free to use the money how they wish.
The hospital staff had become accustom to the annual gift presentation and were only too pleased to be included in the photo's.
A total of £790 was distributed this year.
