This is just a snapshot of Paul Bevan Hospice, taken at different
times.
Construction of the unit began in 1994.
The unit was opened by the Queen in 1995 on land leased from the hospital in memory of Paul Bevan, Paul died from cancer in 1981.
The Paul Bevan Cancer Foundation was set up by his widow Penelope in 1982 to raise money for Macmillan nurses. Money was also raised to provide the unit which cost £750,000 to build the day centre.
Paul Bevan Hospice 2005
The Paul Bevan unit changed it's name in 2005 as it merged with the Thames valley hospice at Windsor to become Thames Hospicecare day unit.

The centre closed at the end of 2016.
