A sample of a bygone age
On the rules of admission page, it details visiting time for parents and friends. Always a bone of contention how long do you allow ?. In 1922 the rules for visiting were:-
“ Parents and adult friends may visit patients between 2 and 3.30pm on Saturdays and Sundays and on Bank Holidays between 10.30 and 12 am and 1.30 and 3.30pm “.
Not long by today's standards but we also have to bear in mind patients could have a stay as long as 2 years.
