Personal Photo Album
Hello I was a ward sister at Heatherwood in the seventies. Whilst caring for a
patient during that period she gave me photographs of her time as a student
nurse during the 1920’s. I am wondering if the League of Friends would be
interested.

Edna passed the album to Lynne in the 1980's when she was a patient. Lynne has now passed the album for us to share,of which we are truly thankful.
Edna Harper Personal 1904-1987
What we have found out about Edna,her real name was Amy Edna Harper she was born
in Greenwich London in 1904 and joined Heatherwood as a probationer nurse in
April 1923.
We have no idea of her length of time at Heatherwood.
Lorraine Jones from facebook writes:- Looking on Ancestry.com it appears that she stayed in the local area as on the 1939 Register Edna was a Ward Sister at King Edward VII Hospital and on the electoral roll for 1963 & 65 she was living close to Old Windsor Hospital Newton Court Burfield road.
Edna passed away in 1987 at the age of 83.
