The circus has winter quarters at Ascot and arranged the trip to the hospital to brighten the lives of children unable to leave their beds for the Olympia season beginning next month. Four Ponies a miniature coach and four, a llama, a donkey and a camel were among the visiting animals.
Ponies went to the bedside of the children on the terrace and some of the more fortunate were driven around the quadrangle in the coach.
The children were wildly enthusiastic about the visit and expressed keen appreciation of the gesture.
